The beaches of Mallorca

beaches

Hidden coves and wide beaches several kilometres long, Mallorca has both. We tell you where to find the best views, white sand and surfing waves.

Magaluf

If this beach wasn’t in Mallorca, it would have been worth it! The spacious bay, with a wide strip of white sand, is framed by rocks and pine trees, and there’s plenty of space even in July and August. The town of Magaluf was famous for its unbridled nightlife a few years ago? We honestly tried to count the bars here, but failed. But now everything has changed: there are hotels for family holidays, and tourists with children are increasingly choosing this resort.

Who: families with children and party lovers.

Can Pastilla – Palma de Playa – El Arenal

Three picturesque beaches stretch along a marine bay with a wide stretch of sand. Whatever your location, you will find fun by the sea, colourful cafés and luxurious sea views. Lifehak: To fully enjoy the beauty of the sea, come to the beach early in the morning. And stay there until it gets dark for once: the sunset over the bay is worth it. And yes, don’t forget to take a picture next to the sand sculptures!

Who: Those looking for an active but inexpensive holiday.

Formentor

One of the most spectacular views of Cape Formentor, situated at an altitude of 300 metres. Here, in the north of Mallorca, nature has been hard at work, with huge rocks jutting out of the sea and centuries-old pine trees coming close to the shore. Is it worth saying that this sandy beach is one of the most enchanting on the island?

Who: Lovers of luxury recreation.

Alcudia- Playa de Muro

Another respectable place is Alcudia. The snow-white beaches of this town are often compared to the Caribbean, but only instead of palm trees there are pine trees, and this is not a bad alternative. The beach with a gentle entrance to the sea is ideal for children. And adults will appreciate the opportunity to stroll through the old streets of Alcudia.

Who: Families with children, surfers and kitesurfers. The sea breeze is responsible for a good wave in these places.

Sa-Coma

Do you dream of seeing dolphins in the sea? Well, at Sa-Com beach, you have all the possibilities. The impeccable purity of the beach is confirmed by the UNESCO Blue Flag, so dolphins are very frequent guests here. However, even if they don’t look like it, they won’t disappoint you: a cosy cove with white sand and turquoise waves is considered one of the most beautiful in Mallorca.

Who: Families with children and those who want to spend their holidays in a relaxed atmosphere.

Cala D’Or

The coast of Cala D’Or is literally covered with small coves, and one can walk from one to another. Somewhere the rocks get a little closer to the water, somewhere the pine trees get closer to the sea, but one thing is always white sand and blue waves. There is a yacht harbour in one of the bays, and it is one of the most romantic places in the area. Be aware that if your plans are to propose on holiday…. Beloved yachts, fish restaurants, luxury and festive atmosphere – this seems to be the true spirit of Cala D’Or.

To whom: romantics, gourmets, lovers of relaxation.
